Standards Development Team

This is a 10-15 hour/week volunteer position. A motivated individual will be part of a team that will discuss and determine what gameplay standards will be accepted by the IQA rulebook and the method of their execution. They will meet regularly with their counterparts and report to the Gameplay Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the IQA Congress to develop gameplay policy
  • Study and track regional variations of the rulebook
  • Determine which variations merit consideration when updating the next rulebook
  • Establish, along with the participating member nations, what standards will be used in inter-league play

Minimum Qualifications

  • Referee or relevant gameplay policy experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Detail-oriented
  • Capable of working effectively in a group
  • Regular access to Skype and email

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual
  • Prior experience in sports administration
  • Prior experience in discussing and determining quidditch gameplay policy
