Referee Development Team

This is a 10-15 hour/week volunteer position. A motivated individual will be part of a team that will provide national leagues with resources that can be used to train their referees. They will also determine if and how the IQA would certify referees. They will meet regularly with their counterparts and report to the Gameplay Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Study and track regional variations referee certification exams
  • Develop training resources for those aspiring to obtain certification or improve their current skill set
  • Establish if and how the IQA would certify referees and how this would affect national member league referee certification

Minimum Qualifications

  • Referee or relevant gameplay policy experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Detail-oriented
  • Capable of working effectively in a group
  • Regular access to Skype and email

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual
  • Prior experience in sports administration
  • Prior experience in referee training
