Graphic Designer

This is a project-based volunteer position within the Creative Services team and the Marketing department. A dedicated individual will be on hand to provide high impact designs and copy layouts to be used both in intracompany correspondence and in conjunction with public relations materials.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect information and materials relevant to the assignment and apply to design
  • Plan concepts based on aforementioned research
  • Submit drafts for approval and adjust based on comments
  • Work towards creating an effective and cohesive visual ‘brand’

Minimum Qualifications

  • Good people skills
  • Basic proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Open to feedback
  • Creative and flexible with an eye for a variety of styles
  • Detail-oriented and dedicated to polished results
  • Ability to multitask and simultaneously track progress of multiple priorities and projects
  • Proficient in at least one design program (e.g. Adobe Photoshop)
  • Regular access to email and Skype

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous professional experience in logo design and in creating copy layouts
  • Experience in multiple mediums (e.g. digital-only, shirt design)
  • Lettering experience
