Events Manager

This is a 10-15 hour/week volunteer position. A driven individual will oversee all events managed by the IQA, taking a direct role when necessary. They will meet regularly with their counterparts in the Congress, and report to the Executive Director.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Solicit bids for events, and present recommendations to the IQA Congress
  • Hire and manage tournament directors and other staff to organize events
  • Work closely with staff from relevant national leagues to produce high-quality international events
  • Collaborate with relevant members of congress to develop events policy

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrable sense of professionalism
  • Previous management experience
  • Previous event-organising experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Detail-oriented and independently motivated
  • Regular access to Skype and email

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual
  • Previous quidditch event-organising experience
  • Willingness to travel to 1-2 events each year
