Communications Team Leader

This is a 5-10 hour/week volunteer position within the Marketing Department. A dedicated individual in this high impact position will lead the Communications Team, ensuring the IQA’s public image is properly maintained across all media platforms. They will meet regularly with their staff and the translation branch of the Marketing Department, and will report to the Marketing Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Marketing Manager in executing and overseeing all official communication from the IQA
  • Ensure all official communication is clear, well-written, and accurately reflects the IQA’s standards and policies
  • Help brainstorm new, effective ways of communicating with the Association’s members, fans, and supporters
  • Hire and manage staff as necessary to assist with timely completion of these tasks

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong people skills
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Prior management experience
  • Familiarity and comfort with all major social media platforms
  • Capable of making note of details while keeping an eye on the bigger picture
  • Ability to multitask and simultaneously track progress of multiple priorities and projects
  • Regular access to email and Skype

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual
  • Prior experience in a marketing or professional writing role
